EDIT: Have a look at this! Have a look at the rest of his gallery, too, if you haven't. I promise it'll be worth your time. [link]
This was inspired by a recent journal by ~velvetgoldmineee, in which he proposed several different and, to his knowledge (and mine), unexplored variations of steampunk. Wonderpunk, an Alice in Wonderland-inspired version, particularly caught my fancy, so I decided to draw my own interpretation. Of course I had to start with the classic Mad Hatter. His expression is partially based off of the crazy warped grins exhibited by velvetgoldmineee himself.
To me, Wonderpunk would be partially about how you dress, but partially about how you act - in public, wonderpunks would act very random and silly, at least in my mind. This particular mad hatter (a popular persona) is fond of staging random tea parties and has in fact modified a lightweight plastic teapot and -cup to stay on his head underneath the classic mad hat, here adorned with goggles to work in the steampunk element.
There are lots of little touches I like here, and unfortunately they don't all come through; for instance, I don't think you can see that the leather on his goggles band is the same grape-flavored purple as his shoes.

Cool! His purple waistcoat is cute. His proportions are nice too.
