Description

OK, I lied, one more and then I go to sleep. Really. I mean it this time.

These seem to be getting less and less steampunky and more and more generically Victorian. Somehow I couldn't really find it in me to make the twins cute and whimsical - they always struck me as extremely sinister, though for the life of me I couldn't tell you why. In case you can't tell, they're wearing the same waistcoat; it's just that you're seeing it from different angles.

The Tweedles are best friends who frequently argue but just as frequently finish each other's sentences. Mad scientists in thin disguise, they will whip out goggles at the drop of a hat - and always simultaneously - whenever a scientific problem looms. They'll argue their mutual point of view with impeccable logic and have an unnerving habit of quoting odd, surreal, and incredibly apt poetry for the occasion, taking turns saying lines. Tweedledum is more stabile, frequently waxing maudlin and melancholy, especially when he has a bottle of something tasty readily to hand. Tweedledee is more easily angered, especially away from his friend's calming influence, although the differences are so subtle that a stranger might not be able to tell them apart. As a final touch, none of their friends can remember seeing one without the other.

EDIT: As ~Torenchiko-to pointed out, Tweedledum's hand was on backwards. I fixed that, and added a lot of the loud, colorful touches I meant to do first time around. By the way, their goggles are supposed to be made of some kind of copper, and the turquoise splotches are where it's oxidized.

...hee. The Tweedles were always rather underrated, I think. They're probably quite bored with just each other all the time, though, and latch on to anybody who'll pay attention to them quite aggressively.

...Needs moar loud stripes. And obnoxiously large buttons.

Also, backwards hand.
