Prince, troll, and waiter

The protagonists of my 2007 NaNoWriMo novel, currently going by the working title Youth's Realm. From left to right, Prince Dorem Takis Artemas Silvanos of the Bahimen (rest assured he is teased mercilessly), Glass the Bard, and Tanka. This is the first drawing I ever did of them, but their design really hasn't changed all that much. Dorem lost the glove and Glass's hair got a bit messier, but that's about it.
Dorem is, in a sense, the main character, I guess, because his quest is what the whole story revolves around and he's gotten the most screen time so far. He started out as your standard lofty elf-type, but ended up being more hotheaded and impatient, very ill at ease with intellectual pursuits and more at home with riding and hunting. Glass is my luvverly troll bard. He's my favorite of the good guys. He keeps ghosts in jars in his backpack. He was originally going to be the main character; I'm not sure what happened. Tanka is... Tanka. The others aren't really sure what gender Tanka is, so he gets called a "he" by default. It doesn't really matter that much, as he acts pretty much completely sexless, although he does tend to display a fondness for dressing in womens' clothing. The lacy, frilly kind, with short skirts.
