So I bought Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman yesterday, figuring what the hey, it's got Terry Pratchett's name on it and I've never regretted reading one of his books. Finished it the same day, and I absolutely fell in love with Crowley and Aziraphale. This drawing started out being of them, but a funny thing happened once I got going. It turned into a drawing of two characters of mine I haven't thought of since I moved three years ago.
Their names are Kaz and Job. Kaz is the one in black who's too cool to take off his sunglasses. His buddy is Job, and looking at them I don't know why I stopped doing anything with them. It's not so much that Kaz is demonic and Job is angelic, it's just that over the hundreds of lifetimes they've spent working together they've kind of evolved good cop-bad cop roles. Now Job's all annoyed because he's gotten stuck with good cop and there doesn't seem to be anything he can do about it.
Their relationship is tons of funs to write. At different times they act like brothers, best friends, father and son, or mortal enemies, but most of the time they act like an old married couple. What both of them know, but would die rather than admit, is that they care for each other more than anything in the world and each would do anything to protect the other. When you've spent thousands of years with someone you tend to get that way.
I'm happier with the way Kaz came out than with Job; I made some fairly major mistakes inking and colouring Job. The daggers in his right hand are only there to cover up a hugely staring screw-up in the inking on his hand; same with the gloves. And by the way, his annoyed expression is because he knows Kaz is about to stub that cigarette out on his head. ^_^

Kaz totally looks like Nicholas D. Wolfwood from Trigun. Like his long-lost twin or something. I mean, I know you've never seen Trigun so you didn't copy, but google him and be amazed.
